There will be a free, public showing of the documentary “Fix It: Healthcare At Tipping Point at the Mesa County Central Library Community Room from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27 2017. Again, this event is free and open to the public.

FIX IT is a powerful new documentary that reaches across the political and ideological divide to expand support for major healthcare reform.
The film was the brainchild of a private business owner in Massachusetts who pays an astronomical amount to assure his employees have access to health care, and investigated why. One thing he found was that 33% of every healthcare dollar is wasted on for-profit middlemen, companies and gatekeepers that do not provide health care. The film was two years in the making, with more than forty voices advocating for reforming America’s health care system into a single-payer system, including activists, health policy experts, economists, physicians, nurses, patients, business and labor leaders.
