The City of Grand Junction currently has vacancies on boards, committees, commissions and authorities for citizen volunteers. Serving on a public board is a great way to pump up your resume’, particularly for young folks, as there is no age limit. Currently the City is seeking to fill openings on the G.J. Regional Airport Board (application deadline April 28), the Horizon Drive Business Improvement District (deadline April 28), the Downtown Development Authority (DDA – deadline May 12 and members have to live downtown), the Riverfront Commission (deadline May 12), the Urban Trails Committee (deadline May 12), and the Ridges Architectural Control Committee (open until filled).
